
Russ Rose Then (1992): “Angie developed into a top-notch backrow specialist during spring practice. As a walk-on, she took the initiative to be the best she can be and in the process earned a scholarship. That’s a real tribute to Angie’s desire and ability. I think Angie and Erika Spencer are two of the top backrow players we’ve ever had. They will contribute greatly this season.”
1992 Season (Junior) Season Recap: Participated in all 32 matches, the second consecutive season she has accomplished that feat, and 72 of 100 sets … the only backrow specialist to see action in more games than Farlow was Erika Spencer … Farlow’s total of 96 digs represents a personal season best … season and career-high: 13 digs vs. Washington (9/5).
Before Penn State (University of Maryland): Farlow attended the University of Maryland during the 1989-90
academic year but did not compete on the volleyball team.
High School: Played as a setter, middle blocker and outside hitter at St. Elizabeth Seton HS and earned 3 letters … twice won First-Team all-county honors … also competed in 5 events in track and field, and was a starting guard for the basketball team … scored 27 points and was named MVP in a basketball all-star game in 1988 … served as captain of the volleyball and basketball teams her senior year.
