Russ Rose Then (2013): “Taylor had great success in high school and she played for a very good club program. I believe she will be able to share time as a backup setter as well as time in the back row. She’s a good server and she has a great awareness of playing the position.”
Russ Rose Now (2026): “Taylor and her sister, Kristen, were individuals that we knew a great deal about, because their father, Mike, was their high school coach, and they attended our camps over the years. So, we knew her. Taylor had great skills. And as you would expect from someone who’s the daughter of a coach, she had an excellent volleyball IQ. She would come in to matches and serve and play defense, and she wasn’t afraid to set. She was a tough kid. I had great confidence that if I put her in, she wouldn’t be distracted by the size of the moment and was going to do the best that she could.”
