Mary Susinskas

Mary Susinskas #10 DS 5’10”

Profile in 1981 Media Guide: “Back row specialist … one of the best receivers of serves he’s ever coached, according to coach Russ Rose.”

Russ Rose Now (2026): “Mary was my starting middle on the 1979 and 1980 teams, when we were just beginning to build the program.  She wasn’t big at the net but was great on serve-receive and was willing to carry the load that was offered her.  Even when she was in challenging situations, she kept plugging. The girls from the western part of the state were from tough stock and Mary was tough when she came in, and she did her thing. She helped us when we were in need of players to play out of position.”
