Before Penn State: Earned 4 letters in volleyball at Steel Valley High School in Homestead, PA, and was the Most Valuable Player in 1978 and 1979 … played for the South All-Stars in 1979 and with the Mideast Junior National Training team for one-and-a-half years … two brothers and a sister graduated from Penn State.
