Lindsay Anderson

Lindsay Anderson #8 Opp/RS 6’0″

Russ Rose Then (1998): “Lindsay’s career has been marred with injury.  However, she was healthy last season (1997), and I thought she had a good year.  We’re going to need her to have a better year whether she’s playing right side or switching into the middle.  Lindsay hits the ball hard, she has good game sense, and she’s played a long time.  She needs to help us in that important leadership area that everybody depended on Terri Zemaitis for.  If Lindsay can do those things, then she’ll be fine.  To me, it always boils down to health in Lindsay’s case.  She’s a strong girl, but her structure seems to be unable to maintain the pounding and the wear and tear that can happen throughout a long season.  If she can keep an eye on herself, and keep herself fresh, then I think she’ll continue to make some great contributions.”

Russ Rose Now (2025): “Lindsay was a strong athlete and outside attacker. She had a heavy hand and was aggressive with how she played the game.  She had some injuries that held her back at times, but she was a very important contributor to the program.”

Lindsay Anderson on Her Penn State Career:  “I wouldn’t trade my experiences for anything. It was a positive and fun atmosphere for student-athletes. We worked so hard and I’ll always be able to take the Intangibles with me. Playing under Russ gave me confidence that I can do anything. He’s such a great coach and he makes you succeed.”
