
Russ Rose Then (1991): “Jenny is a strong athlete from a very good volleyball area. Without question, she was one of the top athletes in the state of Nebraska. She’ll definitely play this season. The amount of playing time will depend on how quickly she can adapt to the ball-handling requirements of collegiate volleyball. Jenny is exceptionally strong at the net. She’s very competitive, a no-nonsense type of kid.”
1991 Season (Freshman) Season Recap: Came off the bench on several occasions in the 1991 season to provide instant offense .. . blessed with excellent physical skills, she appeared in more matches ( 18) than any other reserve outside hitter on the team … also proved to be a capable blocker, tallying 13 blocks in 27 sets played.

Before Penn State: Reimers was an all-city, all conference and all-state performer in volleyball, basketball and soccer at Lincoln Southeast HS … served as captain in all three sports … in track and field, she earned all-city and all-conference honors and qualified for the state meet in the discus and high jump … placed fourth in the state high jump … an outside hitter, Reimers competed in the 1991 Nebraska Coaches Association all-star match and on Nebraska Junior teams that won two USVBA regional championships … the Gatorade Circle of Champions Nebraska Basketball Player-of-the-Year, she was selected to compete in the Nebraska/SouthDakota Coaches all-star game … played guard and forward on teams that won three district titles and two state championships … preseason All-America selection in Street & Smith’s College/Prep Basketball and Dick Vitale’s Basketball magazines … a midfielder, she was the 1990 team MVP in soccer … a member of the National Honor Society, Reimers received the U.S. Army Reserve ational Scholar-Athlete Award and the KFOR Sportscasters Scholarship … also was a Sertoma Club honoree … recognized as an academic all-state selection in volleyball, basketball, soccer and track.
