She’ll be better this year because of the experience she gained as a starter last season. Jen will have more confidence and knowledge of the game. One thing she does need to improve on is her ability to put the

1993 Season (Junior) Highlights and Awards: Academic All-Big Ten … All Big Ten … voted Big Ten Player of-the-Week 3 times (10/4, 10/18, 11/1).
Season Recap: Played in 35 of 36 matches and 107 of 122 sets … became Penn State’s “go to” player at midseason … led the Lady Lions in kills (379) and digs (406) … 2nd on the team in total attempts (970) … reached double-figures in kills 20 times and digs 22 times … hit the 20-kill mark and the 20 dig mark 4 times … totaled 24 digs against Michigan ( 11/19) and Minnesota (11/27), one shy of the school record for digs in a 3-set match … also was a reserve on the Lady Lion basketball team that advanced to the Round of 8 in the NCAA Tournament and shared the Big Ten Title.
NCAA Tournament: NCAA Championship All-Tournament team recognition after recording a total of 47 kills and 33 digs in the NCAA Tournament Semifinal and Championship matches … NCAA Mideast All-Tournament team … All-Mideast Region … had a career-high 25 kills against Long Beach State in the NCAA Championship match (12/18).
Before Penn State: Reimers was an all-city, all conference and all-state performer in volleyball, basketball and soccer at Lincoln Southeast HS … served as captain in all three sports … in track and field, she earned all-city and all-conference honors and qualified for the state meet in the discus and high jump … placed fourth in the state high jump … an outside hitter, Reimers competed in the 1991 Nebraska Coaches Association all-star match and on Nebraska Junior teams that won two USVBA regional championships … the Gatorade Circle of Champions Nebraska Basketball Player-of-the-Year, she was selected to compete in the Nebraska/SouthDakota Coaches all-star game … played guard and forward on teams that won three district titles and two state championships … preseason All-America selection in Street & Smith’s College/Prep Basketball and Dick Vitale’s Basketball magazines … a midfielder, she was the 1990 team MVP in soccer … a member of the National Honor Society, Reimers received the U.S. Army Reserve ational Scholar-Athlete Award and the KFOR Sportscasters Scholarship … also was a Sertoma Club honoree … recognized as an academic all-state selection in volleyball, basketball, soccer and track.
