1990 Season (Sophomore) Season Recap: Participated in more sets (98 of 140) than any backrow specialist in the 1990 season … led all non-starters with 109 digs and 18 service aces … matched a career-high by tallying 9 digs twice … was one of 6 Penn State players to play in all 45 matches.
Before Penn State: Spencer earned 12 letters in volleyball, basketball and softball at Elderton HS … an All-State, all-section and all-league selection as a setter, she led Elderton to the 1988 state and league titles … the volleyball team won 89 of 98 matches during her career…selected to compete in the 1989 East West all-star match … an all-section basketball point guard, she also played centerfield for the softball team … competed for the Willow Pond junior team … valedictorian of her senior class.
