1992 Season (Senior) Highlights and Awards: Second Team All-Mideast Region team … Honorable-Mention All-Big Ten … led the Big Ten in digs/set ( 3.69).
Season Recap: Played in all 32 matches and 96 of 100 sets … totaled 365 digs (1st on the team), 165 kills (.225 hitting %), 36 total blocks, and 12 service aces.
Before Penn State: Kumfer was rated as one of the top 50 prospects in the country by Volleyball Monthly … a 4-year letterwinner as an outside hitter at Snider HS, she won All State honors as a senior and earned all-conference recognition 3 times … led Snider to the state title in l988 … Captain in 1988-89 … Snider won 90 of 109 matches during her career … member of the Munciana junior team that placed 9th at the USVBA Junior National Tournament in the summer of 1988.
