Jeremy Schneider, who covers high school sports for the Star-Ledger and NJ.com, has posted an article with his thoughts about the 2012 Jersey Classic.  Here are some excerpts: 

[Nia Reed] [t]he best player, on the best team in the state? Shocker. But she earned it. After my first time seeing Reed play, there was no way I could give the nod to anyone else. She absolutely lived up to the hype. Not only is she physically imposing and incredibly powerful. She can completely take over and single-handedly win games, and that’s what she did against Bogota.

Her volleyball IQ is impressive as well — just when an opponent is ready for her to slam it, she floats it over them. It’s no surprise that Penn State wanted her — that’s where she’ll be playing when she graduates.
