Russ Rose Then (1994): “Saundi’s done more for the program with less recognition than almost any other player we’ve ever had. She starts every match and is very durable. She always plays hard. Saundi’s never the center of attention but she’s on the floor a lot when the team wins. She’s just a great natural blocker and what she did in the final match (Long Beach State) against Danille Scott, the NCAA Division I Player-of-the-Year, is the type of thing Saundi’s been doing for us for the past three years.”
