We’ve added an unofficial “Player Matrix” to DigNittanyVolleyball.  It can be accessed from the Menu Bar at the top of the website and also appears below. 

What the Player Matrix Is, and Isn’t

The Player Matrix reflects, on a year-by-year basis, the players who are on this year’s roster and who, based on their class and whether or not they have taken a redshirt year, or are anticipated to take a redshirt year, are expected to be on the roster for one or more subsequent years.

The Player Matrix is not official and is not based on inside information of any kind. Nothing in the Player Matrix is intended to reflect who is, or is not (or who will be, or will not be), on scholarship or a significant contributor to the Penn State Women’s volleyball team — either this year or any subsequent year. Did we mention it’s unofficial and not based on any inside information?

The Player Matrix assumes that Darcy Dorton, Ariel Scott, and Erica Denney will redshirt this year. These assumptions are not based on any inside information and may very well turn out to be incorrect. For example, several articles we’ve read have suggested that Darcy Dorton may return to play this year. That may or may not be the case. We’ll update the Player Matrix if we receive new information.

Using the Player Matrix

The Player Matrix is sortable — meaning that you can click on the arrows at the top of the column and re-order that column.

The designation “Available” means that a slot on the team will be available due to graduation (which has nothing to do with who is, or is not, on scholarship — the Player Matrix doesn’t address that).
