Profile in 1981 Media Guide: “Outside hitter … strong and starting to play with authority, according to Coach Rose.”
Russ Rose Now (2026): “Patty was a strong outside hitter who started at the 1982 National Sports Festival and earned All-Tournament at the 1982 Atlantic-10 Championships. She was a captain for us in 1983, which would have been her senior year, but she broke her leg the first weekend of the season against Toledo and was lying on the court near our bench. I didn’t really have anyone who could replace her, and I remember she looked up and said, ‘I’m sorry.’ That says a lot about Patty. Her strength was her size at the net and her willingness to take a big swing.”
