Russ Rose Now (2026): “Nancy McLaughlin was a setter from Corry PA and team captain when I arrived in 1979. She had a good feel for the game and her teammates, and I depended on her and her teammates to get their opinion on the teams that I was seeing for the first time. Her group were troopers, as I was different than Coach Tait and I felt they made the adjustment and helped establish the work ethic that I strived for when I arrived.”

1979 Season (Senior): Named the team’s Most Valuable Player … became the first Penn State Women’s Volleyball player to earn 4 letters. … served as a team captain for the second consecutive season.
Before Penn State: Her Corry Area High School team was undefeated for 4 years … played tennis for the boys team in high school.
