Russ Rose in 1986: “Lisa has the physical potential to be the top outside hitter in the East. Hopefully, she’ll be able to handle the load on the left side. A great deal of our success will be based on how Lisa Leap handles her responsibilities on the floor.”
Russ Rose Now (2026): “Lisa was a talented outside/rightside hitter who could pass and play defense and was a six-rotation player. She was a very good player – she earned Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors in 1986 and 1987 and was the Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and Tournament MVP in 1987. She had some big matches for us and was always willing to help the team from either pin.”
