1991 Season (Freshman) Highlights and Awards: Ranked 16th among Big Ten players in hitting efficiency (.258) and 10th in blocks/set ( 1.07) … was the only freshman to start all 32 matches.

Season Recap: Jenny Myszewski was Penn State’s most consistent and dominant performer during the final weeks of the 1991 season … played in all 32 matches and 120 of 121 sets … totaled 285 kills (3rd on the team), 19 service aces (tied for third on the team), 135 total blocks (2nd on the team to Leanne Kling’s 177), and 155 digs (7th on the team) … in the last 6 matches, she posted a hitting percentage of .291 (85 kills, 26 errors, 203 total attempts) … in the regular-season finale at Indiana, Myszewski did not commit an error while knocking down 11 kills in 15 attempts (.733 percentage) … reached double-figures in kills 13 times … season-highs: 19 kills vs. Northwestern (11/23), 10 blocks vs. West Virginia (9/14) and vs. Colorado (NCAA First Round — 12/7 ),  11 digs vs. Pittsburgh (10/23 and Northwestern (10/25).

Before Penn State: One of the nation’s top prospects, Myszewski was recognized by Volleyball Monthly as a “Fab 50” selection … was a 2-time All-State and All-Metro Conference selection at middle blocker and an all-conference pick at forward at Pius XI HS … served as captain of the volleyball and basketball teams her senior year … Pius XI won consecutive conference and state championships and was nationally ranked in volleyball and basketball the 3 years Myszewski competed … the basketball team, which set a national record with its 10th consecutive state championship, went undefeated 3 straight years and won 2 national tournaments … Myszewski, was on the honor roll throughout her high school career and was a member of the National Honor Society … an academic all-star, she won the Wisconsin Sports Advocate-Woman in Sports Academic Award … competed in the 1991 Bank-One/Easter Seals all-star game … named to the Mikasa Challenge all tournament team … attended Wauwatosa West HS for one year before transferring to Pius XI.
