Izetta Phillips

Izetta Phillips #5 MH 5’8″

Russ Rose in 1987: “Izetta has unlimited potential and can dominate a match with her blocking skills. She is an exceptional blocker for her size. She works hard and is a team player. I feel very comfortable having Izetta on the floor.”

Russ Rose Now (2026): “Izetta’s father, Russell, was the principal of Farrell High School, but she went to West Middlesex. She was a physical middle blocker for us who took good swings at the ball, was a good natural blocker, and was very bright and competitive. And she gave me one of the lines that I still use in life: “You are getting on my last nerve.” So when I use that, I always remember her using that line.  Zetta was bright, fun, and took her time in the gym seriously.”
