Season Recap: Appeared ready to take on the role of a major contributor at the start of the 1988 season, but the injury bug surfaced … sidelined twice during the campaign with leg injuries, she competed in 22 of 40 matches, recording 23 kills, 24 blocks and 18 digs.
Before Penn State: Carter was selected to the Boston Globe All-Scholastic team her junior and senior years at Milford HS … Central Massachusetts Player-of-the-Year her senior season … team won Central sectional and Midland League championships her sophomore, junior and senior seasons … two-year co-captain … twice named team’s Most Valuable Player … majoring in pre-medicine.
