Friday night? Sweep. Saturday night? Sweep.

Maybe it was an early Halloween celebration. Or feeling good about being home.

Whatever it was, the Penn State Women’s Volleyball team played well over the weekend, sweeping Indiana (25-19, 25-13, 25-17) and Purdue (25-13, 25-15, 25-12), and playing well enough to draw praise from Head Coach Russ Rose. Here’s what he had to say after Saturday’s match in an interview with the Daily Collegian’s Bill Landis:

“Everything was better. . . . Our energy in warm-up was better, and the energy in practice today was better than the match last night. . . . It was a good night for us. . . . That’s the benefit of playing at home. Hopefully, we get better as we progress through the next couple of weeks.”
