Russ Rose Then (1991): “Because Laura sat out last season as a medical redshirt and was unable to practice with us in the spring, she lost a year of development. She’s really at the level of a true freshman. The worst thing about her knee injury is that it prevented her from playing high level volleyball. Laura is a big, strong, intelligent, competitive athlete who is not yet a well-rounded volleyball player. She could be a key player this fall.”
