Russ Rose Then (2018): “Gabby is an Andi Collins Award winner, and was recognized as one of the top prep setters in the country. Nothing that I saw in the spring semester would tell me that that was a bad selection. She’s very competitive and she has great control of the ball. No one wants to be in the gym more than her and this is a trait I think is really important for setter and for players that hope to make an impact on a program. All of the teams she’s been on have been successful and I think a lot of it is based on her ability to play the game and contribute to the team’s success.”

Russ Rose Now (2026): “Gabby was a talented, well-skilled, undersized player who played hard all the time. She was in our program for four years, then took her fifth year and went to San Diego. She was the perfect addition to their roster and helped them get to the Final Four and has since played domestically in one of the pro leagues. I believe she recently transitioned to coaching and is at the University of Oklahoma.”
