Russ Rose Then (2018): “Brooklynn is an individual who we’ve had at camp, who’s worked hard to solidify her game. She played libero for both her club and high school teams, and has a good touch on the ball and plays really hard and possesses a good serve. She’ll come in and compete with some of the older players for playing time. Anytime you find people that are aggressive, physically mature, are going to work hard and want to be in your program, they can always find ways to make a program better.”

Before Penn State: Won 3 letters at Rancho Cucamonga High School, where she played  under head coach Aaron Flores … totaled 1,166 digs (12.3/match, 4.3/set) and 146 aces … earned all-Baseline League honors 3 times and 2nd-team all-area distinction from the Upland Daily Bulletin in 2016 … voted team Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year on 3 occasions and was named a PrepVolleyball Breakthrough Player in 2015 … led RCHS to 3 straight Baseline League championships, as the Cougars compiled a 29-1 conference record from 2015-17 to go with 3 appearances in the CIF Southern Section playoffs, including a semifinal berth during her sophomore campaign … also won 2 letters as a shot putter for the RCHS track and field team … excelled in the classroom, landing a spot on the principal’s honor roll all 4 years … served as sports commissioner for the RCHS Associated Student Body.
