1989 Season (RS Junior) Highlights and Awards: Volleyball Magazine Second Team All-American … First Team Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection for the 3rd straight year … twice voted A-10 Player-of the-Week … MVP of the Atlantic 10 Tournament, Penn State Classic and Reebok Classic … named to the all-tournament team at the Penn State Preview and Purdue Premier … led the A-10 in assists/set (12.035) for the 3rd consecutive season and was ranked 16th in that category nationally … 4th in the A-10 in hitting efficiency and 9th in blocks/set.
Season Recap: Played in all 41 matches … posted 236 kills, 345 digs, 109 blocks and 41 service aces … registered a .330 hitting % … season highs: 16 kills vs. North Carolina (11/5); 27 digs vs. Texas-Arlington; 7 blocks vs. George Mason (10/8) … registered 10 or more kills 8 times and 10 or more digs 17 times.



Before Penn State: Member of the gold medal team at the 1987 Olympic Sports Festival .. . was listed as a “freshman to watch” by Volleyball Monthly … 4-year letterwinner as a setter and hitter at Winston Churchill HS in Potomac, Md., where the team won the East Coast championship her senior year.
