Russ Rose Then (2001): Shannon is a great role player for us. She was a significant contributor last season as a setter, and I’d expect the same thing this year. She is a student of the game and has a great feel for the sport of volleyball. I expect Shannon to get some opportunities at setter, right side, and back row. I am not sure I can pinpoint exactly what Shannon is going to do, but I know she is going to play and be a major contributor. She is always smiling and having a good time.
Russ Rose Now (2025): Shannon was a setter/right side player. Big hands, good skills. Huge smile! Happy-go-lucky, and a really good person. Went on to have a great extended career as a high school coach in Pennsylvania. She was a valuable contributor.
