Tabitha Eshleman

Russ Rose Then (2002): “I thought Tab had a good freshman season last year.  She played well in a lot of tough situatioins and was our first backrow sub, giving her a lot of experience.  With the rally scoring format she needs to develop a serve that can get her on the floor and provide us some opportunities to score more points.  Tab is a confident player who has an exceptional volleyball IQ, in that she knows where she’s supposed to be and plays hard.  She is a person that is proud to be a collegiate athlete and demonstrates it every day.  She is a very special young lady.”

Russ Rose Now (2025): “Tabitha had great skills, was very explosive, and had no fear. She redshirted her first year and then played for us the next four seasons. Her love for the game was infectious. She went on and continued as a club coach and is still a club coach today in Pennsylvania.  A lot of our success back in those years was based on getting those walk-on kids, those backrow players who were small in size, but made great contributions because they cared and they really wanted to be successful.  Back then I said that Tab was a player who had been at Penn State for 5 years and I would have taken her for 10 more.  It says alot about her that someone like me said that about her back then.”
