Russ Rose Then (2019): “Sydney is a player we are going to have to take our time with to see how she develops both physically and mentally with what’s going on with college volleyball. She has the tools to be a good player. We just have to see where her motor and energy take her. We have had Sydney in camp and know she can play at a high level. We expect her to work toward those expectations.”

Transferred to North Carolina State in Spring of 2020.
Before Penn State: No. 44 ranked PrepVolleyball.com Senior Ace … 2nd team all-state in Virginia as a junior … 4-time all-conference, including 2 1st team honors … 2-time all-region selection … team won 2 regional titles and played in the 2018 state championship match … played club volleyball for Virginia Juniors and for FJVC … was the MVP of the team that finished 2nd in the 2017 USAV national tournament.
