The US Women ended a wet and windy week in Chinese Taipei ranked 8th in the World Grand Prix, losing to the undefeated and #2-ranked Netherlands (3-2) and #4-ranked Germany (3-0), and defeating 12th-ranked Dominican Republic (3-2).

Former Penn State All American Nicole Fawcett is the leading scorer for the US Women, ranking 17th among Best Scorers (16th among Best Spikers), followed by Kristin Richards and Jordan Larson, who are tied for 37th.

Courtney Thompson ranks 8th on the FIVB’s Best Servers list and 11th among Best Setters, Foluke Akinradewo is 12th among Best Blockers, Nicole Davis 6th among Best Diggers and 10th among Best Liberos. Jordan Larson ranks 12th among Best Receivers.

The US Women will resume World Grand Prix competition in Bankok, Thailand taking on Russia (Friday, August 14th, followed by Puerto Rico (Saturday, August 15th), and Thailand (Sunday, August 16th).
