
Russ Rose Then (2001): “Tina has continued to focus on her serve. She has turned into more of a serving specialist for us. I feel that Tina works hard and that there will be opportunities for her to contribute from the end line. It’s a difficult job, as you have to be able to come into the game, serve tough, and make a good defensive play, and then sit down and wait for another opportunity.”
Russ Rose Now (2025): Tina was a tough backrow player from Chicago. She had good skills, great energy, and always worked hard. She was one of those players that makes your team better. She continues to give back to the sport as a club coach.
Before Penn State: A three-year starter for Marian Catholic; named a captain her senior season; led squad to conference title each of her four years; Spartans advanced to Sweet 16 in 1996 and were regional champions each of the last two seasons; MVP of Maria Invitational in 1994.
