Russ Rose Now (2025): “She was a very enthusiastic person, who came to practice every day and made practice better for the team and worked hard to improve herself. She was a really happy, pleasant human being.”

Before Penn State: Four-year letterwinner at Lake Catholic High School in Mentor, Ohio; team captain for the Cougars in 2004; helped squad to 82-18 record  during four years; named third-team All-Ohio following senior year, also picking up tean Most Valuable Player honors, all-district, NCL All-Star team honors, Plain Dealer All-Star team accolades, and News Herald All-Star team honors; team was sectional and district champions during junior year; two-time Best Defensive Player award winner; CVC Champions in 2001-2002; NCL Champions in 2003; District Champions in 2003; member of the Cleveland Volleyball Company club program that went to nationals three years; member of the honor roll all four years and graduated with honors.
