Penn State lost its third consecutive match on Friday night, this time to #9-ranked Purdue (25-20, 25-21, 25-22) in a Big Ten match in West Lafayette. The Boilermakers were Penn State’s 11th nationally-ranked opponent this season. The Nittany Lions dropped to 13-10 overall and 7-6 in Big Ten.
Purdue, which has won 7 straight matches, is now 20-3 overall and 11-2 in the Big Ten.

Penn State was once again led by Junior RS/Opp Kennedy Martin, who totaled 21 points (20 kills on .298 hitting, four digs, and two blocks). So. OH Emmi Sellman and Sr. MB Maggie Mendelson both recorded 10 points, with Sellman totaling 9 kills and a service ace, and Mendelson putting down 8 kills and 4 blocks.
