“Nine — The 2010 Freshman Class,” DigNittanyVolleyball, Dec. 31, 2009
Russ Rose Then (2010): “”We thought Mikinizie was the top setter prospect in the class. We feel that there will be a transition, but once she gets up used to the speed of the college game she could be a great college setter. Mikinzie will have a lot of pressure on her because she’s replacing a four-year starter and a three-time All-American with both veteran and younger players around her. She came from a fine club program and has all the tools to be successful. Mikinzie has a great volleyball IQ at the setting position, is not afraid to try things, and knows the role she has to play.”
Russ Rose Now (2025): “Mikinzie was one of the top recruits in her class from Colorado and well trained. She battled for playing time and kept the level of play up albeit from the second side. She transferred to Colorado State after her freshman season.”
