Russ Rose Then (2014): “Megan Courtney came in as one of the best all around players that we’ve had, and after a couple of years I still feel the same way about her. She’s a terrific all-around player who can play both the right or the left side position. She’s a good ball handler and an exceptional blocker with good vision. I’m not sure where she’ll end up this year, but I’m sure she’ll be in the mix in making a big contribution to the team.”
Russ Rose Now (2025): “Megan was a terrific, well-rounded player when she came to Penn State. When she came in, she could have played left side, right side, or set. She was a really important player for us because she could pass, and attack, and she was a very good blocker. Megan was durable and always played hard and well with others. She had all the skills. She was with the US national team and playing professionally as an outside hitter, and then she transitioned and was the starting libero on the national team. She’s married now with a child and still playing pro ball. I was always a big fan of Megan.”
