Russ Rose Then (2013): “Megan had a really exciting freshman year, especially being reconized as the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. I think that she learned a great deal about what it takes to succeed at the college level as well. I thought there were matches where she demonstrated she has a great volleyball IQ and we’ll need her to help us achieve more.”
Russ Rose Now (2025): “Megan was a terrific, well-rounded player when she came to Penn State. When she came in, she could have played left side, right side, or set. She was a really important player for us because she could pass, and attack, and she was a very good blocker. Megan was durable and always played hard and well with others. She had all the skills. She was with the US national team and playing professionally as an outside hitter, and then she transitioned and was the starting libero on the national team. She’s married now with a child and still playing pro ball. I was always a big fan of Megan.”
