Russ Rose Then (2013): “Maggie goes out on the court each year and works hard and is a competitior. This year, she is one of our captains and she’s also one of the true characters on this team. Maggie is incredible in the classroom, as she’s earned a 4.0 and she’s also demonstrated that she’s in the mix with the back row players as well.”
Russ Rose Now (2025): “Maggie was a State College High School graduate and from a family of Penn Staters. She is another player who didn’t play a great deal, but in my mind played a valuable role. She was a great team player who was always upbeat and who worked hard. Maggie was always positive and incredibly bright, as she won the Elite 89 Award in her junior and senior seasons, which is for the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the Final Four. It’s not surprising that Maggie has been very successful since she graduated.”
