In a performance that may even have pleased Russ Rose (at least a bit), Penn State swept Purdue on Saturday night (25-13, 25-15, 25-12) in front of 3,012 fans in Rec Hall. Penn State is now 22-0 overall and 10-0 in the Big Ten. The Nittany Lion’s NCAA record consecutive match win streak stands at 86.
Penn State dominated the match, recording eight service aces (tops this season), 39 kills (with only four hitting errors), 14 total blocks (to one for the Boilermakers). Purdue hit .034 as a team.
