Russ Rose Then (1997): “Laura Hoff is an individual who we had in summer camp and who, like Christy Cochran, we indicated that she needed to do some things if she wanted to be a part of our program. She’s made significant effort to do those
things, including making herself stronger. She has a long way to go, but there’s something to be said for being 6-5 and having long arms and wanting to be a volleyball player. So, I would think that there’s a real strong likelihood that we will redshirt Laura, especially if we think that she’s going to have the type of future that we would envision for her. She has a good arm swing and has played volleyball for a number of years, so her knowledge and awareness of the game is good. Of course, as with all young players, there’s just a big difference when they get to the college level.”
Russ Rose Now (2025): “Laura made us a better team by putting up a big block every day in practice.”
