Russ Rose Then (2003): “Brooke has a great feel for the game and will work her way into helping us in a number of ways.  She has good ball handling skills and is a tough competitor.”

Russ Rose Now (2025): “Brooke was a player from California who had good skills.  She was probably accustomed to being more of a six-rotation player in high school and in club, but we were a little stronger at those positions. But I felt comfortable bringing her in to serve and play defense and help the team that way. I thought she did a nice job during her freshman year, in more of a limited role than in a main role.  She only played in 44 sets, which was about a third of the number of sets in a season, but she contributed when she was in there, and was very pleasant and a good teammate.”
