Russ Rose Now (2025): “Brooke was a player from New York who we had in camp. She had really long arms. At one point after she graduated, she was a model, and she was referred to as the model with the longest legs. There was not a lot of playing time available, but she was a key part of the fabric of the team, well received by everyone, and always had a smile and a really pleasant young lady.”

Before Penn State: Three-year volleyball letterwinner and one-year track letterwinner at Warwick Valley High School in Warwick, N.Y.; team captain for the Wildcats from 2001-2004; earned Players to Watch distinction in 2002, 2003, and 2004, also picking up all-section honors all 3 years; led squad to Division II championship and Section IX Finals from 2002-2004; member of the Downstate Juniors club program in Ossining, New York, where she was named the Most Valuable Player in 2004-2005; was named a Scholar Athlete from 2001-2004 and was a member of the Honor Roll and High Honor Roll at Warwick Valley.
