Russ Rose Then (2002): “I look forward to coaching Amy. I look forward to my dealings with Amy because there are going to be days when she and I will just be getting after each other. I don’t think she has any idea of how hard it is. But that is sometimes the beauty of young players, they are oblivious to what the demands really are. Amy is a fierce competitor and I think a lot of her teammates will be able to latch onto the enthusiasm and the energy she possesses. She has good ball handling skills for a player with a large frame. I recruited Amy because I thought she was the most competitive player I saw, and I want players in our program that play hard.”
Russ Rose Now (2025): “Amy was a really talented player out of Indiana. She played for the Dunes Volleyball Club. She was a terrific passer, good attacker and mentally tough competitor. She transferred to Tennessee and had a good career there, and she’s been coaching at a number of places.”
