Mishka Levy

Russ Rose Then (2002): “Mishka is certainly one of the key players now, not only for us, but in the conference.  We are optimistic that Mishka is going to give her senior year the best focus and attention that she can and try to go out on a high note.  She has played middle and left side, so some of the things that have occurred in her career have been out of her control because the team dictated that we needed to place her in a different position.

Mishka has great vision as a player and has played for a long time and understands the importance of the role that she has as a primary attacker.  Right now, she is our best returning attacker and the challenge will be how she handles it, recognizing that every other team knows it as well.  She is going to have additional responsibilities because she has to be able to not only carry the team, but carry the team aginst opponents who are smart enough to know that she is going to be getting the largest number of swings.”

Russ Rose Now (2025): Mishka was one of the top attackers in the country and was recruited by all the top programs.  Her future was in her own hands — she could play any of the front row positions, she was very bright, very calm demeanor, and she was a good student so she could have gone anywhere she wanted.  She was an integral part of our success.
